At an Artisans Market for NGOs, Native Women's Cooperative introduced a new product, "Cherokee Word," a set of Cherokee vocabulary words on small strips of paper that were given with pottery, baskets and other items the group was selling. Each paper gives a Cherokee word, its pronunciation, and its meaning in English. Native Women's Cooperative formed a relationship with the American Indian Community House, which bought a number of items and took many others on consignment.
